New 'Safer Property Search' facility launched on Alliance of International Property Owners
Safer searching of overseas property minimises risk of dealing with rogue agents
The Alliance of International Property Owners (AIPO) www.aipo.org.uk, this week launches a brand-new feature that underpins its core message of ensuring the British public ‘Buy safe, own well’. In partnership with The Property Share Network, this website now offers a ‘Safer Property Search’ option which allows users to browse the overseas property listings from current AIPP (Association of International Property Professionals) members only.
Members of the AIPP have all voluntarily committed to a strict code of conduct and their clients are covered by the UK Property Ombudsman with compensation possible up to a maximum of £25,000

Of the newly added facility, Editor of the AIPO, Claire Robinson said,
“We are thrilled to finally offer the foreign property buying public a much easier way to browse property from agents who are members of the industry voluntary regulatory trade body. Buying from an AIPP member agent gives you greater peace of mind that, should things go wrong with your purchase there is some recourse without having to ‘go legal’.

The properties are all listed with AIPO partner, the Property Share Network, who have developed the software to ensure that only listed AIPP member properties are shown on the AIPO website. Showcasing in excess of 4,000 properties, the network is adding new companies and countries (currently Spain, Portugal and Turkey) to its portal daily. Users of the AIPO website can also search all AIPP members including legal, developers and financial services.
To feature on the network agents need to be both a member of AIPP and signed up to the Property Share Network, itself a member of the AIPP. The AIPO was launched in May 2018 to support British resident owners and buyers of a foreign property or timeshare and offer advice to buyers.
