Working from home - with a view?

2020 was a year of changes, most of them contributed in one way or another to the advance of online technologies, and showed us how almost anything can be done remotely. From working, to shopping or even having a medical appointment.

Coronavirus has also increased dramatically the hours we spend at home, and therefore the need of having a more comfortable house with light, ample spaces or terraces have raised too.

Refurbishing the house or even looking to buy a better one has become a priority for many families. While, before the pandemic, having a terrace or garden might have been secondary compared to living closer to work, now it has become a must for the majority of the population

Better views, warmer weather

Many people have even decided to move to their secondary residence in warmer places and convert them in their main living place. Since you can work from any place in the world, why not doing it with a warmer weather? or better views?

The Costa del Sol area in Spain has experienced a growth in the demand for second homes to stay during lockdowns or even as a permanent home to work remotely. The easy flight connections, stunning sea Views, sandy beaches, al fresco lifestyle and some of the best golf courses to name a few of its many attractions.

Furthermore, the benefits of the “Golden Visa” have motivated many buyers to invest in a better home in order to extend their stay in Spain. To obtain the Golden Visa, the requirement is to buy a real estate asset for at least 500.000€ with own funds. The investor could buy one or more properties as long as the total value is at least 500.000 euros or more, free of charges and encumbrances.
