RDO (Resort Development Organisation) is the trade association for vacation ownership across Europe. Their members are bound by a strict code of conduct and an independent arbitration scheme offering consumer protection in excess of what is legally required. To check to see if a resort owner or resale company is a member of RDO or to read more about their work please go to rdo.org.
The RDO (alongside AIPP for freehold and leasehold property) are supporting the Alliance of International Property Owners.
The American Resort Development Association (ARDA), the US equivalent of RDO is also supporting AIPP and RDO with the Alliance of International Property Owners. For queries about timeshare outside Europe please go to www.arda.org.
RDO in turn funds the Timeshare Task Force (TTF) and Timeshare Helpline. Timeshare Task Force is an initiative that is bringing together timeshare organisations, consumer bodies, enforcement agencies and individual companies all with the common aim of assisting consumers with advice and resolution services.
Timeshare Business Check is part of the the Timeshare Task Force. If you are worried about the legitimacy of a company and they are not an RDO member then please contact them to carry out a check . Their services are entirely free and they are committed to helping customers with refunds and relinquishments along with ensuring rogue businesses are brought to justice.
